Dramatic opportunities

At Morningside, you get both classroom and hands-on experience with every aspect of theatre: writing, directing, acting, set design, technical production, costume design and makeup. The 300-seat Klinger-Neal Theatre on campus is the site for three or four major shows and several student acting and directing projects each year. An outdoor performance center on the campus “mall” provides more opportunities for exploring additional aspects of theatre production. You’ll also interact with a variety of guest artists who visit campus to share their expertise during workshops and seminars on drama, storytelling, audition techniques, dance, Broadway, touring companies and television. Either as a theatre major or a student who enjoys participating in theatre productions, you will develop important skills like leadership, team building, public speaking, writing and critical thinking.
