Lindsey Christiansen is in her third year as the cheer and dance head coach at Morningside College. She was instrumental in starting a competitive cheer program for the 2011-12 season.

In her first year at Morningside, Christiansen helped lead the Mustangs to a first place finish in the Jazz Open competition and a second place finish in the Hip Hop Open competition at the 2011 NAIA Midwest Regional Competitive Dance and Cheer Competition held in Des Moines, Iowa. 

Christiansen's second year at Morningside was highlighted by a first place finish in the Jazz Open competition at the NAIA Midwest Regional Competitive Dance and Cheer Competition held in Des Moines, Iowa. The Mustangs added a second place finish in the Hip Hop Open competition. Morningside also took top honors in jazz and hip hop in the college division of the Dakota Valley Dance Classic and had the top hip hop score out of the entire 158 routines judged at the competition. The Mustangs added a pair of high finishes in the college division at the Iowa State Dance Team Championships in Des Moines with a second place finish in hip hop and a third place finish in pom.


Christiansen came to Morningside from 5678! Dance Studio in North Sioux City, S.D., where she was the assistant director and a certified personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). She has also been a dance teacher and choreographer and has choreographed competitive routines for several groups, including the Morningside College dance team and the dance teams for Dakota Valley and Brandon Valley High Schools in South Dakota.


She is a 2008 graduate of Iowa State University, where she was a member of the ISU Hip Hop Club. Christiansen previously attended the University of Minnesota, where she trained under professional dancers from Broadway Dance Centre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, and the Limon Dance Company. Christiansen competed in various competitions throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin as a member of the University of Minnesota’s Premiere Dance Team.

 

Assistant Coach Ashley Eberly

Ashley Eberly joined the Mustangs' coaching staff for the 2013-14 season.

Eberly is a 2013 graduate of Morningside and was a member of the Mustangs' dance team for the 2012-13 season.

She is a past graduate of Lawton-Bronson Community High School.
