Two Morningside College students recently gave presentations at the Midwest Undergraduate Conference in the Humanities (MUCH) at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa.
Kelci Teut of Hinton, Iowa, presented in Spanish on sociolinguistic issues on the U.S.-Mexican border. Nancy Waterstraat of Stralsund, Germany, presented on legal and political issues in the democratization of Chile from 1988 to present. They participated in panels with students from University of Northern Iowa, Wartburg College, Simpson College, and a variety of other public and private regional institutions.
Dr. Patrick Blaine, assistant professor of Spanish at Morningside, accompanied the students.
MUCH is an annual regional research and creative engagement conference for undergraduate students in the humanities.
