Morningside College students will present a vocal recital at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
Students will perform art songs, and songs and arias from musicals and operas. All of the singers are preparing to participate in the annual student adjudications sponsored by the Lewis & Clark Chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
The voice teachers with students performing are Dr. Gail Dooley, professor of music; Kate Saulsbury, adjunct professor of voice; and Shannon Salyards, adjunct professor of voice. Jayne Koch and Christina Martinez will accompany the singers at the piano.
Morningside students performing will be Clay Ackerman of Huxley, Iowa; Haley Gabriel of Holdrege, Neb.; Nate Hettinger of Le Mars, Iowa; Scott Kruse of Guthrie Center, Iowa; April McCormick of Forest City, Iowa; Allison McNeil of Sioux City; Blair Remmers of Alton, Iowa; and Ariel Turnquist of Alta, Iowa.
