Casey Muessigmann, former Morningside College student and contestant this fall on “The Voice,” and Wyatt Turner, former contestant on “American Idol,” will perform at Morningside College at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave.
A limited number of tickets will be made available to the general public. They cost $3 and may be purchased at Eppley Auditorium from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 15 and 16. The evening of the concert, doors will open first to students and then to the general public at 7:50 p.m.
Country star Blake Shelton selected Muessigmann to be on his team for “The Voice” on NBC. He remained a contestant until he was eliminated from the show on Monday, Oct. 8. Muessigmann is a 2008 graduate of Spencer High School in Spencer, Iowa, who attended Morningside College. He most recently attended Morningside in the spring of 2012, and he was a member of the wrestling team.
Wyatt Turner appeared in the January 2011 season of American Idol on FOX, where he made it through to the second round of the competition.
