Morningside College placed 10 players on the 2013 All-Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s and Women’s tennis teams as selected by the league’s head coaches.
Austin Grundy, a junior from Sioux City, and Reid Rosen, a senior from Fairmont, Minn., were named to the All-GPAC Men’s Tennis Team at No. 1 Singles and No. 2 Singles, respectively. They were both repeat selections from last year’s All-GPAC team. Rosen earned All-GPAC honors in singles for the fourth year in a row, while Grundy achieved the feat for the third consecutive season.

Morningside lost 5-0 against league regular season champion Nebraska Wesleyan 5-0 in the championship match in the GPAC Women's Tennis Championship tournament on May 4 in Fremont, Neb.
The Mustangs lost against Nebraska Wesleyan in the GPAC title match for the second year in a row.
Nebraska Wesleyan led 3-0 after the completion of the doubles competition and clinched the victory with singles triumphs from Katherine Ternent and Terah Maloley.
The Mustangs were leading in three of the remaining four singles matches when play was stopped.
The Morningside men won their GPAC tournament opener with a 7-2 triumph against Concordia before they bowed out with a 5-1 loss against regular season champion Hastings in the semifinals.

Megan Solberg, a sophomore from Mitchell, S.D., has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for April 1-7.
Solberg did not lose a game in her two singles victories with 6-0, 6-0 triumphs against Mount Marty College’s Michaela Ramm and Midland University’s Tokeca Kephart to help the Mustangs win both duals with an 8-1 triumph against Mount Marty and a 9-0 victory against Midland.
Solberg also paired with Audri Swisher for 8-0 victories at No. 3 singles in both duals. She has an 11-3 record in singles and a 12-5 mark in doubles so far this season.
