Leann Osten, a 5-6 senior guard from Columbus, Neb., , has been named to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-District 3 College Division Women’s Basketball Second Team as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Leann Osten, a 5-6 senior guard from Columbus, Neb., , has been named to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-District 3 College Division Women’s Basketball Second Team as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Osten has a 3.97 cumulative GPA with majors in elementary education and special education.

Osten is the leading scorer with an average of 11.5 points per game for a Morningside team that is ranked 10th nationally in the NAIA Division II. She also leads the team with 61 steals and is second on the team with 68 assists for averages of 2.8 steals and 3.1 assists per game.

Student-athletes must be of at least sophomore academic status, be a starter or significant reserve, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher to be eligible for Capital One Academic honors.
