TypeFocus:

The TypeFocus career assessment analyzes personality type based upon a process similar to the Myers-Briggs typology.  The assessment will identify a student’s personality type, and then link personality strengths to potential careers.  The assessment also offers occupational reports on various job titles, which includes salary information, job trends, and descriptions of common activities on the job.

All freshman registered for Passport will take the TypeFocus assessment in class.

Students can revisit this assessment at any time by logging in to: www.typefocus.com.  The access ID is mc45, but students will utilize their own usernames and passwords.  We suggest using your e-mail ID for your username.

This career assessment system is designed to assist you in determining what majors might be best for you based upon your interests, skills, learning styles, and abilities. 

Click here to launch CC Springboard (www.careercruising.com) and use the following information to log in:

Username: morningside

Password: siouxcity

Once registered, you will need to come up with your own unique portfolio name and password.  After completing the assessments (Career Matchmaker, My Skills, and Abilities Profiler), you will be led to careers that match the characteristics of those assessments.  These careers contain occupational reports, including salary, job demand, and job description information which should be helping in providing a career direction.
