Anni Moore got get her PhD and BS degrees in Biology at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, IL, and AS degree at Illinois Valley Community College. Her dissertation work and current research interest focus on various aspects of environmental microbiology – both natural and man-made environments. She started her teaching career as a graduate teaching assistant and adjunct faculty in 2007 and as a full time faculty at Morningside in 2014. She has taught microbiology, genetics, immunology, epidemiology, food and water microbiology, methods in molecular biology, anatomy and physiology, and freshman communications courses. She is also coordinating the Biology and Chemistry Disciplinary Honors programs. Moore is active in Canadian Society of Microbiology, and currently serves as a co-chair of the Undergraduate Education committee.
