Courtney Leaverton graduated from Morningside in 2018 with her bachelors degrees in elementary and special education. Courtney went on to receive a masters degree in curriculum and instruction from Wayne State in 2022. Courtney taught 3rd grade at Liberty Elementary in Sioux City, IA for five years before returning to Morningside in 2023 as an assistant professor of education. Courtney is proud to be a Morningside alumna, and even more proud to return as a faculty member.
