Dr. David Elder is an Associate Professor of Writing & Rhetoric in the Humanities department where he teaches classes about rhetoric, the publishing industry, persuasive writing, teaching writing, public speaking, and first-year composition, and every once in a while he teaches a creative writing class. His research interests include ancient rhetoric, online communication, rhetorical theory, writing center work, and rhetoric in popular culture. His editorial work has ranged from managing an academic journal to copy editing lesson plans for a K-5 Reading Curriculum company.
