Assistant professor of art

Dolie Thompson teaches photography courses and the history of photography, as well as senior art seminar.

She earned her BA from Briar Cliff University and MFA from Savannah College of Art and Design. She has exhibited work locally at the Sioux City Art Center, and at various galleries in the United States and Budapest.

She loves travelling with students, and, in the past few years, has organized many trips for students in the US and Europe to attend Society for Photographic Education, Heartland of America Photographers, and Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Conferences, and to experience other cultures.
