Dr. Elizabeth Rae Coody is the Assistant Professor of Religious Studies. She teaches a variety of courses in the religions and related topics, Bible, and academic writing and speaking. She advises students in religious studies major and minor and on the X-Path (Morningside’s guided program that gives students a place, time, and space to figure out a major). Her professional interests include the intersections of religion and everyday life including popular culture, gender and sexuality, and interdisciplinary and interfaith dialogue. Her professional writing often engages the Bible and comics in particular. She served for over a decade as the Director of the Writing Lab at the Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado, teaching students academic and professional writing for various religious endeavors.
