The Inauguration of the 13th President of Morningside University, Dr. Albert Mosely took place Wednesday, April 19, and Thursday, April 20, 2023.

The inauguration celebration for Dr. Albert Mosley, the thirteenth president of Morningside University, consisted of a series of events that concluded with the installation of Dr. Albert Mosley as the 13th President of Morningside.

  • 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Morningside University Palmer Research Symposium, held in locations throughout campus
  • 8 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Student Presentations
  • 12-12:45 p.m. Palmer Lunch, Yockey Family Community Room, Olsen Student Center
  • 12:45-1:30 p.m. Palmer Research Symposium, UPS Auditorium, Lincoln Center, Keynote Speaker: Rajasingh Johnson MPhil., PhD, HCLD (ABB)
  • 1:45-4 p.m. Student Presentations 
  • 5:30-6:30 p.m. Waitt Lecture, Eppley Auditorium
  • 6:30-9 p.m. Waitt Lecture Dinner & Special Music Performance (by invitation only with RSVP), Yockey Family Community Room, Olsen Student Center

  • 10 a.m. Investiture, Eppley Auditorium 
    Master of Ceremonies: Dr. Esther Mackintosh, chair of the Morningside University Board of Directors
    Keynote Speaker: Dr. Michael Ugwueke, president & CEO, of Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare
  • 12-1:30 p.m. Meet & Greet Reception, outside of Eppley Auditorium
  • 1:30-2 p.m. Student program, Olsen Student Center
  • 2:30-4 p.m. Day of service activities in partnership with City of Sioux City
  • 4:30-6 p.m. Inauguration Happy Hour with Alumni & Friends, Bob Roe’s Point After
