FIRST-YEAR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS
At Morningside, we value having people like you as part of our Morningside community, which is why we offer a variety of scholarships and grants that celebrate your strengths and help make your education more affordable.
Note: This information is for students beginning attendance at Morningside in the fall of 2025.
ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS*
Academic Scholarships are awarded to full-time, first-time undergraduate students who meet certain minimum High School GPA criteria. Note: this information is for incoming Fall 2025 first-year students.
Trustee Scholarship
Amount: $15,000/yr ($60,000 total)
Criteria: 4.0 GPA
Presidential Scholarship
Amount: $14,000/yr ($56,000 total)
Criteria: 3.6-3.99 GPA
Dean Scholarship
Amount: $13,000/yr ($52,000 total)
Criteria: 3.3-3.59 GPA
Founder Scholarship
Amount: $11,000/yr ($44,000 total)
Criteria: 3.29 or less GPA
*Academic awards will be reduced by $3,000 for students who choose to live off-campus prior to earning 91 or more credit hours.
ACT/SAT INCENTIVE SCHOLARSHIP
Students who choose to take the ACT or SAT and have their scores submitted to Morningside may qualify for an additional scholarship that can be combined with other scholarships and awards.
ACT of 31+ or SAT of 1390+
Amount: $5,000/yr ($20,000 total)
ACT of 26-30 or SAT of 1230-1380
Amount: $3,000/yr ($12,000 total)
ACT of 21-25 or SAT of 1060-1220
Amount: $1,000/yr ($4,000 total)
OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
ACCESS TO MSIDE
Access to Mside is our commitment to help streamline paying for college. All new full-time undergraduate students for 2025-2026 will be guaranteed a minimum award package. These packages include all grants and scholarships available through Morningside, as well as federal and state assistance. See the flyer below for details. *Please note this offer is not available for online students.
TALENT GRANTS
Receive up to $5,000 per year ($20,000 over four years) for participating in an activity you love. Areas include art, athletics, esports, theatre, choral music, instrumental music, color guard, or writing. You can only earn one talent grant, you must continue your participation in the activity, and you will need to visit campus to audition or meet coaches in order to qualify. To be considered, simply let us know about your talent when you speak to an admission counselor or on your application. If you receive a Talent Grant, you are not eligible for a Monte Grant.
Monte Grant
Amount: $4,000/yr ($16,000 total)
If you aren’t an athlete, musician, artist, or gamer, but plan on being active in other ways, taking on leadership roles, or volunteering at Morningside, then the Monte Grant may be for you. Talk with your Admissions Counselor to see if you qualify. If you receive a Monte Grant, you are not eligible for a Talent Grant.
Visit Grant
Amount: $1,000/yr ($4,000 total)
Campus visits are important. We believe that so sincerely that we will give you $1,000 per year for up to four years when you enroll at Morningside if you make an official campus visit. Visits must be completed by February 28, 2024. Ask your Admission Counselor for details.
FAFSA Submission Grant
Amount: $1,000/yr ($4,000 total)
Students who submit their FAFSA information to Morningside by Feb. 28 each year will receive $1,000 every year they are at Morningside.
First Generation Grant
Amount: $1,000/yr ($4,000 total)
First Generation Status is determined by how the student answers the Parent Education Status Question on the FAFSA.
Morningside Pell Enhancement Grant
Amount: $3,000/yr ($12,000 total)
A limited number of grants available for students who are Pell eligible and reside outside the state of Iowa.
Morningside Grant/Achievement Award
Award varies based on need and other aid offered to the student.
