“When I first considered attending Morningside University, my practical side drove the decision. Free tuition (my mother works at the university) made it an obvious choice. But what I found was much more than affordability—Morningside has helped me cultivate growth through unexpected opportunities.
Now involved in campus theater, media management, and creative writing initiatives, my unique student experience reflects the vibrant community and countless possibilities Morningside offers. Through my story, prospective students can gain insight into what it’s like to thrive on campus.
I was initially unsure about pursuing Mass Communication. I’ve always been more of a word person, and aspects like graphic design and video production seemed intimidating. However, my perspective shifted dramatically after starting the program.
When I realized that combining different skill sets—like writing, networking, and more technical skills—makes me more marketable, I knew I had made the right choice, especially considering today’s competitive job market.
I embrace Morningside’s Mass Communication program, which integrates diverse disciplines like audio engineering and video production. The more skills I have, the more opportunities open up. It’s this forward-thinking approach that sets Morningside apart by fostering well-rounded professionals.
Theater is one of my biggest passions. I’ve performed in two Morningside productions this year and am planning to do more in the coming year. Morningside’s performing arts programs give students a chance to immerse themselves in their passions, whether it’s on stage, behind the scenes, or both.
Through my experiences at Morningside, university has been more than a place to get a degree. It’s a supportive community where students can explore their passions, build essential skills, and find mentors who genuinely care about their success.”
