Mark Abrams was named the GPAC Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Mark Abrams, a junior from Glenwood, Iowa, has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for Jan. 26 to Feb. 1.
Abrams won the 5000-meters at last Saturday’s Buena Vista University Invitational with a time of 15:07.89 for a victory margin of almost six seconds over runner-up Cory Logsdon, who finished in 15:13.36 while competing unattached.
Abrams’ winning time is the fourth fastest in the NAIA this season.
