The website places Morningside in the eighth spot on a list of the top 20 small colleges and universities from around the country that offer the “best value” for students interested in obtaining an art degree.

The website highlights Morningside’s Bachelor of Arts degree in arts administration, noting that Morningside is one of the few schools in the top art colleges ranking to offer the major.

“This interdisciplinary program combines the most essential aspects of a business degree with an artistic emphasis in a particular field,” the Best Value Schools website said. “In addition to tracks in studio art and photography, arts administration majors can also choose from concentrations in dance, theatre, and musical performance.”

The Best Value Schools website ranks small colleges (less than 3,000 undergraduate students) in various academic programs by evaluating factors such as academic depth, student support and affordability.
