Nathan Miller from the University of Iowa (UI) College of Law will deliver a lecture titled “Social Psychology and Legal Philosophy” on Monday, March 9, at 6:30 p.m. in Weikert Auditorium on the Morningside College campus.

Miller will discuss how the law is defined, the nature of law as a social construct, and the role of sociological inquiry in legal philosophy. His talk, which is open to the public, is sponsored by the UI Center for Human Rights and Morningside College.

Weikert Auditorium is located across the skywalk on the second floor of Buhler Rohlfs Hall.

Miller is director of the International Legal Clinic at the UI College of Law and assistant director of the UI Center for Human Rights. He joined the law school in 2011 after a decade of international advocacy work spanning 20 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, including time spent as a legal advisor to what is now the government of South Sudan. Miller received his law degree from the New York University School of Law in 2002.
