Bands from Morningside College and Sioux City East High School will perform together in concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 14, in Eppley Auditorium on the Morningside College campus.

Bands from Morningside College and Sioux City East High School will perform together in concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 14, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave., on the Morningside College campus.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The East High School Symphonic Band and the Morningside College Symphonic Wind Ensemble will each perform individually. Then the two ensembles will perform together at the end of the concert. Together they will play the folk song “Home on the Range” arranged by James Barnes and “Salute to the Sultan” by Karl King.

The East High School Symphonic Band is under the direction of Anna Scott, and the Morningside College Symphonic Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Shane Macklin, assistant professor of music at Morningside College.
