Chandra Clarke to give virtual lecture on citizen science
Chandra Clarke, author of the book “Be the Change: Saving the World with Citizen Science,” will come to Morningside College virtually via Google Hangouts to hold an interactive discussion on the topic at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in the UPS Auditorium in Lincoln Center.

Citizen science is science conducted by average individuals with an interest in science that are not full- or part-time scientists. The lecture will cover the topics in Clarke’s book and her blog, “Citizen Science Center.”
Clarke runs scribendi.com, an editing and proofreading company, and inkylo.com, a content writing company, with her husband, Terence Johnson. She also writes a humor blog, www.chandrakclarke.com.
The event is part of Morningside’s Hickman-Johnson-Furrow Learning Center Virtual Lecture Series. The college broadcasts the lectures on campus and also streams them live at www.youtube.com/user/TheHJFLearningCenter.
