Anjana Cordes led the Mustangs to the team title at the GPAC Fall Golf Qualifier to earn GPAC Women’s Golfer of the Week honors.
Anjana Cordes, a freshman from Bad Vilbel, Germany, has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Golfer of the Week after she led the Mustangs to the team title at last week’s weather shortened GPAC Fall Golf Qualifier at Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Cordes fired a five-over par 77 to share individual medalist honors with Logan Wagner of Mount Marty College. Cordes matched her low score of the fall season to lower her season’s scoring average to a team leading 80.0 strokes per 18 holes.
Morningside won the team title by a 27-stroke margin for its fourth tournament championship in a row. The Mustangs also won the team championships at the Briar Cliff Lila Frommelt Classic, the Northwestern Invite, and the Midland/College of Saint Mary Fall Invite.
