Morningside College’s student Entrepreneurship Group (E-Group) recently received a $5,000 grant from the Siouxland Economic Development Corporation.

The money will make it possible for students to attend regional and national entrepreneurship conferences and for the college to host a regional or national entrepreneurship speaker on campus.

E-Group is an organization where students share and develop entrepreneurial ideas and skills. Faculty advisers are Dr. Pam Mickelson and Mary Zink.

The Siouxland Economic Development Corporation primarily focuses on financial packages for small businesses and entrepreneurial startups. The organization also awards grants to local colleges to help fund entrepreneurial efforts in the community and on their campuses.
