Thirty-two Morningside College students recently were inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, an international honor society in the field of education.

Students in the Sharon Walker School of Education at Morningside had to have at least sophomore standing, be admitted to a teacher preparation program, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and express the intention of continuing in the education field. 

Morningside College student Taylor Daas, who had previously been inducted into the honor society, gave the keynote address at the induction ceremony.

“There are so many experiences for students that are available through Kappa Delta Pi, and that was made evident through Taylor Daas’ amazing speech and presentation,” said new inductee Emily Maurer. “I definitely went away from the ceremony feeling inspired and excited for my future in education!”
