The Entrepreneurs in Residence Program in the Morningside College Department of Business is sponsoring two panel discussions April 20 and 21 that will include Morningside alumni.

The first panel discussion, titled “Entrepreneurship and Risk,” will take place at 7 p.m. April 20 in UPS Auditorium in Morningside’s Lincoln Center, 3627 Peters Ave. The panelists will discuss how they have used their business leadership and entrepreneurial skills to critique risk and resolve challenges. The event is free and open to the public.

Panel members will include Chad Benson, a 1991 graduate and president and CEO of CBE Companies in Cedar Falls, Iowa; Tracie Franko, a 1989 graduate and human resources director for Wells Enterprises in Le Mars, Iowa; Scott Pflanz, a 1992 graduate and president of Pflanz Electronics in Sioux City; and Gene McNaughton, a 1991 graduate and president of Elite Concepts Consulting in Ladera Ranch, Calif.

The second panel discussion, titled “Risky versus Reckless,” will take place at 9:15 a.m. April 21 in the Yockey Family Community Room in Morningside’s Olsen Student Center, 3609 Peters Ave. Chad Benson and Gene McNaughton will examine the changing competitive landscape, international opportunities, political encounters, market innovations and demand for sales professionals. The event is free and open to the public.
