The Mustangs (9-0) earned 366 poll points and 15 of 16 first-place votes to top Marian College of Indiana who remained ranked second with 352 points and one first-place marker. Head coach Steve Ryan’s program has been within the NAIA top 25 in each of the last 147 polls and earned its 25th number one listing.
Morningside, riding a 32-game Great Plains Athletic Conference and 27-game regular season win skein, continues its 2018 campaign Nov. 3, as Dordt College takes a short southwestern trip to Elwood Olsen Stadium. Kickoff is 1 p.m. for the Senior Day 2018 match-up.
