Heather Wilburn, visiting assistant professor of philosophy at Morningside College, recently presented a paper at the Southwest Seminar in Continental Philosophy at Colorado College in Colorado Springs.
The paper, titled “Speculative Thinking and the Concept in an Adornoesque Ethics,” discussed the beliefs of philosopher and social critic Theodor W. Adorno, a German philosopher who was prominent in the 1960s and 1970s.
Wilburn came to Morningside this fall after serving as a lecturer at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Her area of specialty is 19th- and 20th-century continental philosophy, Adorno, and post-Kantian ethics. She received her doctorate in philosophy from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.
