Five Mustang softball players receive scholar-athlete award

Five players from Morningside’s softball team are 2017 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
The Mustangs’ Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes are:
Mara Amsberry, a junior shortstop from Bennington, Neb., who has a 3.95 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with a major in elementary education.
McKenzie Anderson, a senior outfielder from Lincoln, Neb., who has a 3.62 cumulative GPA with majors in managerial accounting and business administration.
Moriah Bohlmann, a senior first baseman from Denison, Iowa, who has a 3.95 cumulative GPA with a major in elementary education.
Morgan Fogelman, a senior outfielder from Elkhorn, Neb., who has a 3.55 cumulative GPA with a major in business administration.
Rachel Koch, a senior outfielder-shortstop from Denison, Iowa, who has a 3.70 cumulative GPA with a major in biology
Student-athletes must be of at least junior academic status and have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in order to be eligible for Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
