Five players from Morningside’s men’s volleyball team received academic all-conference honors.

Five players from Morningside College’s men’s volleyball team received academic all-conference honors from the American Midwest/Great Plains/Kansas Conference.

The Mustangs’ academic all-conference selections were:

Jimmy Aschenbrenner, a 6-7 sophomore middle blocker-outside hitter from Westminster, Colo., who has a 4.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA).

Jacob Brand, a 6-9 sophomore middle blocker from Homer, Neb., who has a 3.6 GPA.

Ryan Coyle, a 6-4 sophomore middle blocker-outside hitter from Ebert, Colo., who has a 3.8 GPA.

Mason Hahne, a 5-11 freshman defensive specialist from Hartington, Neb., who has a 4.0 GPA.

Brett Kies, a 6-0 junior outside hitter from Kansas City, Mo., who has a 3.3 GPA.

The Mustangs’ five academic all-conference players were the most among the seven teams that comprise the American Midwest/Great Plains/Kansas Conference.
