Four Morningside softball players were named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Four players from Morningside’s softball team are 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

The Mustangs’ Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes are:

Mara Amsberry, a senior shortstop from Bennington, Neb., who has a 3.86 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with a major in elementary education.

Paige Lansink, a junior pitcher from Manilla, Iowa, who has a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA with majors in elementary education and special education.

Andrea Medinger, a senior pitcher from Dubuque, Iowa, who has a 3.58 cumulative GPA with a major in elementary education.

Suzanne Ras, a junior pitcher from Bancroft, Neb., who has a 3.56 cumulative GPA with a major in mathematics teaching.

Student-athletes must be of at least junior academic status and have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in order to be eligible for Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
