Grossman and Maxon receive honorable mention All-GPAC recognition
Bobby Grossman and Forrest Maxon were named to the honorable mention list of the 2014 All-GPAC Men’s Soccer Team.
Bobby Grossman, a senior defender from Gretna, Neb., and Forrest Maxon, a senior midfielder from Mission Viejo, Calif., were named to the honorable mention list of the 2014 All-Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Soccer Team as selected by the league’s head coaches.
Grossman was the top defender for a Morningside team that allowed an average of 2.44 goals per game. Aside from his defensive exploits, Grossman also contributed one point to Morningside’s offensive attack with an assist in the Mustangs’ game against Briar Cliff University.
Maxon was the Mustangs’ leading scorer with team-high totals of six goals and three assists for 15 points. He contributed the game winning goal in three of the Mustangs’ four victories.
Morningside posted a 4-14 record during the 2014 season.
