Holck and Peterson receive academic honor
Cody Holck and Ben Peterson were named Daktronics-NAIA Men’s Golf Scholar-Athletes.
Cody Holck and Ben Peterson are 2018 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes in the sport of men’s golf.
Holck, a junior from Ankeny, Iowa, has a 3.64 cumulative grade point average (GPA) with a major in public accounting. Holck had an 18-hole scoring average of 75.5 this past season and was the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) runner-up individual medalist with a 72-hole total of two-over par 286 in the combined scoring from the GPAC Fall and Spring Qualifier tournaments.
Peterson, a junior from Saint Anthony, Minn., has a 3.50 cumulative GPA with a major in nursing. Peterson finished the 2017-18 season with a 78.4-stroke scoring average.
Student-athletes must be of at least junior academic status and have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in order to be eligible for Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.
