Mikaela Livengood was named the GPAC Women’s Golfer of the Week after she helped lead the Mustangs to a school-record score at the Northwestern Red Raider Fall Invite.
Mikaela Livengood, a sophomore from Eagle Grove, Iowa, has been named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women’s Golfer of the Week for Sept. 19-25.
Livengood carded a 77 at last Thursday’s Northwestern College Red Raider Fall Invite at Landsmeer Golf Club in Orange City, Iowa. Livengood matched Mustang teammate Anjana Cordes, last week’s GPAC Women’s Golfer of the Week, for the top individual score in the 46-player field. Cordes defeated Livengood on the second hole of a sudden death playoff for medalist honors.
Livengood’s 77 helped make the Mustangs a runaway winner at the Red Raider Fall Invite. Morningside shot a school-record score of 315 to win the team title by a 19-stroke margin over runner-up Briar Cliff.
