Dave Madsen, assistant professor and chair of the department of mass communication, was recently a discussant for a research poster session at the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication conference in Chicago.

Dave Madsen, assistant professor and chair of the department of mass communication at Morningside College, was recently a discussant for a research poster session at the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication conference in Chicago.

Prior to the event, Madsen’s duties were to read and comment on the winning research papers. These papers were then presented in poster form at the conference. During the poster session, Madsen met with each author to discuss his comments.

Madsen has been a Morningside faculty member since 2009. He teaches classes in Media Management, Intro to Mass Communication, and Public Relations, and he oversees Morningside College’s television channel, MCTV.
