Morningside College students Mario Melo and Cassie Warner will present their senior art show Thursday, Dec. 6, through Friday, Dec. 14, in the Eppley Art Gallery on the Morningside College campus.

Morningside College students Mario Melo and Cassie Warner will present their senior art show Thursday, Dec. 6, through Friday, Dec. 14, in the Eppley Art Gallery, 3625 Garretson Ave., on the Morningside College campus.

There will be a reception for the artists just outside the gallery from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, where there will be live music and treats. Both the reception and the exhibit are free and open to the public.

Melo is an art education major from Sioux City. He will be showing two-dimensional artwork. It consists of graphite, soft pastels, ink and watercolor and focuses on the human body, nature and some abstract works.  

Warner is an art education major from Council Bluffs, Iowa. She will be showing paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints and ceramics. She currently owns a small Etsy shop called Joyful Creations.

The Eppley Art Gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
