Head coach Tom Maxon’s men’s and women’s soccer teams are each part of the 2018 Great Plains Athletic Conference postseason tournaments.
The women, harboring the sixth seed and 10-6-1 record, face off against third-seeded Concordia University of Nebraska Wednesday, Oct. 31. Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Bulldog Stadium on CUNE’s campus in Seward. The last time the two sides got together it was a league donnybrook., as Concordia took a 3-2 double overtime decision at Elwood Olsen Stadium late last month.
Mside’s men, sitting 11-5-1 and entering as the second seed, host Jamestown College of North Dakota Thursday, Nov. 1. Kickoff is 7 p.m. at Elwood Olsen Stadium on Morningside College’s campus. The Mustangs blanked the Jimmies 2-0 at home just over three weeks ago.
