Morningside alumni earn scholarships from Omicron Delta Kappa honor society
McKenna Deaton and Thuy Ho received scholarships for graduate studies from Omicron Delta Kappa.
Two recent graduates of Morningside University, McKenna Deaton and Thuy Ho, received scholarships for graduate studies from Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), a national leadership honor society.
Deaton and Ho were selected as scholarship recipients from over 150 applicants. Both are Sioux City natives who graduated from Morningside in 2021, where Ho received a Bachelor of Science in biology and Deaton received a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry. Ho is now a student at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy and Deaton is a Master of Public Health student at the University of Iowa.
ODK is an interdisciplinary honor society with more than 300 circles throughout the United States. Morningside’s ODK circle helps develop leaders through sponsored events, guest speakers, and leadership building activities, including the annual Into The Streets community service day.
