Sioux City, IA – Morningside College received a grant for $50,000 from Missouri River Historical Development (MRHD) for the renovation of the UPS Auditorium in the Robert M. Lincoln Center on the Morningside campus. The renovations were completed in the summer of 2020.
Morningside was awarded the grant to update the 45-year-old auditorium, which hosts community events, speakers, workshops, and other activities. The renovations provided aesthetic and technological upgrades, enhancing the experience for students, community members, and presenters.
“This project would not have been possible without the generosity of Missouri River Historical Development,” said Kari Winklepleck, Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Morningside. “We are grateful for their support of the college’s mission to foster lifelong learning and civic engagement through the renovation of the UPS Auditorium.”
