Morningside College announces Homecoming royalty
Morningside College seniors Allison Kjar of Akron, Iowa, and Spencer Eiseman of Brookings, S.D., recently were crowned the 2014 Homecoming queen and king during coronation ceremonies held on campus.

Morningside College seniors Allison Kjar of Akron, Iowa, and Spencer Eiseman of Brookings, S.D., recently were crowned the 2014 Homecoming queen and king during coronation ceremonies held on campus.
Other candidates for queen were Tyler Arensdorf of Chariton, Iowa; Lexi Busch of Gretna, Neb.; Lynsay Haverland of Dubuque, Iowa; and Karrie Meyerhoff of George, Iowa.
Other candidates for king were Jack Danks of Slater, Iowa; Eric Draper of Valparaiso, Neb.; Kyle Nikkel of Pella, Iowa; and Drew Paulsen of Carroll, Iowa.
Court attendants were juniors Kara Bentz of Humboldt, Iowa, and Tanner Petersen of Schleswig, Iowa.; sophomores Kristina Sorenson of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Alex Paulsen of Carroll; and freshmen Marisa Christie of Sioux Falls and David Young of Sioux City.
Faculty representatives were Jackie Barber, professor of nursing, and David Elder, assistant professor of writing and rhetoric.
