Morningside College announces new appointments in academic affairs
Morningside College recently announced four new appointments in academic affairs. Receiving new appointments are Jackie Barber as dean for graduate nursing; Barb Chambers as director of graduate education; Kim Christopherson as associate professor and educational technologist in the graduate education program; and Jen Dolphin as registrar.

Morningside College recently announced four new appointments in academic affairs.
Receiving new appointments are Jackie Barber as dean for graduate nursing; Barb Chambers as director of graduate education; Kim Christopherson as associate professor and educational technologist in the graduate education program; and Jen Dolphin as registrar.
Barber oversees all aspects of the graduate nursing program. Morningside currently offers a graduate certificate in nursing, and it has applied to offer a Master of Science in Nursing. Barber had served on the nursing faculty at Morningside College since 1997. She has a doctorate from the College of Saint Mary in Omaha, Neb.
Chambers provides leadership and vision for the graduate education program. Morningside College offers the Master of Arts in Teaching degree, as well as graduate teaching endorsements. Chambers had served as lead coordinator for special education courses in the graduate education program since 2010. She has a master’s degree from Morningside.
Christopherson is responsible for educational technology for the entire campus. She also teaches in the college’s graduate education program and continues to have undergraduate teaching responsibilities. Christopherson has served on the psychology faculty since 2007. She has a doctorate from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.
Dolphin conducts registration and maintains academic records for the college. She facilitates and implements institutional policy, providing interpretation and enforcement of policy, and assists the provost by providing reports, analyses and recommendations for policy formulation and revision. She had served as associate registrar at Morningside since 2001. Dolphin has a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa.
