Morningside College announces new associate vice president
Morningside College has named John Pinto to the new position of associate vice president for graduate programs and institutional assessment.
Morningside College has named John Pinto to the new position of associate vice president for graduate programs and institutional assessment.
In his new role, he is responsible for the graduate programs in education and nursing. The deans of these two graduate programs report to him. Pinto also continues to direct the undergraduate and graduate assessment efforts of the college.
Pinto served as a psychology professor at Morningside from 1981 to 2008. In 2008, he became the interim director of assessment, and he has served as the associate dean for assessment and institutional research since 2009.
Pinto has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in industrial psychology from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He has a doctorate in social psychology, with a secondary focus on quantitative measurement and statistics, from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
