Morningside College has reported enrolling 372 new freshmen and 71 transfer students for the fall of 2015.

According to college officials, the group of new students ranks among the largest entering cohorts in Morningside’s 120-year history.

Total fall enrollment at Morningside includes 1,300 full-time students and 1,497 part-time students. The majority of part-time students are enrolled in graduate education and nursing programs.

Last month, The Chronicle of Higher Education’s “Almanac of Higher Education” ranked Morningside in ninth place on a list of the nation’s 20 fastest growing private baccalaureate institutions.
