Morningside College begins the ninth summer season of its Betty Ling Tsang Fine Arts Series with the musical “The Servant of Two Masters” at 7 p.m. on June 10 and 11 in the Buhler Outdoor Performance Center, 3625 Garretson Ave., on the college’s campus.

“The Servant of Two Masters” is a high-flung/low-brow comedy about a hungry servant who hatches a scheme to double his wages – and meals – by serving two masters at once. The show features chicken dancing, fish juggling and pop culture references from Skype to Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies.”

The Morningside production is directed by Nicholas Radu of New York. Randy Peters is costume designer, Nick Croston is stage manager and Jessica Krager is doing set construction.

In the event of rain, the performance moves to Klinger-Neal Theatre, 3700 Peters Ave., on the Morningside campus.

Other productions scheduled for the summer Betty Ling Tsang Fine Arts Series include a holiday pops concert with the Sioux City Symphony on June 25; a Drum Corps International competition on July 13; the children’s musical “OOOPS” on July 15 and 16; and the musical revue “The Taffetas” on Aug. 5 and 6. All performances are free and open to the public.
