Morningside College Music Department to present a spring choral concert

Morningside College will present a spring choral concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 16, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave.
The concert will feature the Morningside College Choir, the Siouxland Master Chorale and the Eclectix Jazz Choir. Admission is $5 at the door.
The Morningside College Choir is an auditioned choir of approximately 35 students that performs frequently both on and off campus. The ensemble tours every year and recently completed a weeklong tour of South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota.
The Siouxland Master Chorale is a community chorus for men and women, including Morningside College students. It performs regularly throughout the year and often with the Siouxland Youth Orchestra or Sioux City Symphony.
The Eclectix Vocal Jazz Ensemble performs a mix of jazz, show and pop tunes both a cappella and with a rhythm section. It has been featured at jazz festivals, public radio broadcasts and at local events throughout Siouxland.
Tim Watson, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities at Morningside, will direct the performances.
