Erin Edlund has been named vice president for marketing at Morningside College. In her new position, Edlund has overall responsibility for the college’s marketing and branding efforts, including website and social media.

Erin Edlund has been named vice president for marketing at Morningside College. In her new position, Edlund has overall responsibility for the college’s marketing and branding efforts, including website and social media.

Edlund previously served for 13 years as a marketing professional within Minnesota State, the fourth largest higher education system in the country. She most recently worked as director of marketing for the Minnesota State system office in St. Paul, overseeing implementation of the new Minnesota State brand and launching several systemwide marketing campaigns to support Minnesota State’s 37 colleges and universities. While part of the Minnesota State system, Edlund also spent 11 years leading all external relations for Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount, Minn., and three of those years as a shared administrator with Inver Hills Community College in Inver Grove Heights, Minn.

Edlund is a native of Burt, Iowa, and a graduate of Algona (Iowa) High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Drake University in Des Moines and her master’s degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul.

Edlund and her husband, Jeff, will live in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, with their three children.
