Morningside College recently presented awards to students earning Master of Arts in Teaching or Master of Science in Nursing degrees at the college’s graduate commencement ceremony.
Morningside College recently presented awards to students earning Master of Arts in Teaching or Master of Science in Nursing degrees at the college’s graduate commencement ceremony.
April Dawn Kerby of Bloomfield, Iowa, a teacher at Davis County Elementary School, received the Glenna Tevis Award for Excellence in Action Research. The award recognizes the outstanding research efforts of a Morningside graduate education student.
Todd Siefker of Sioux City, a Spanish teacher at West High School, received the Richard Owens Award for Professional Service. The award recognizes a Morningside graduate education student who demonstrates exemplary professional service and leadership within their school, organization or community.
Erin Mothershead of Sioux City received the Excellence in Graduate Nursing Research Award. The award recognizes the outstanding research efforts of a Morningside graduate nursing student. Mothershead works at Unity Point-St. Luke’s with the Hospitalist Physicians.
Rachel Anne Wubben of Buffalo Center, Iowa, received the Nightingale Leadership in Service Award. The award honors a Morningside graduate nursing student who demonstrates exemplary professional service and leadership within their organization or community. Wubben works at Mayo Clinic Health System Mankato in the Family Birth Center, and she is an adjunct professor at Minnesota State University Mankato.
