Morningside College student Emily Widman will present her senior piano recital at Morningside College at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 13, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave.

The recital is free and open to the public.

“I’m excited to share my love of music through my recital,” Widman said.

Widman will perform “Sonata Opus 14 No. 2” by Beethoven, “Danzas Argentinas” by Ginastera, “Prelude Opus 9 No. 1” by Scriabin, and “Scherzo No. 2 in B-flat minor” by Chopin.

Widman is the daughter of David and Elizabeth Widman of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. She will graduate from Morningside in May with a major in music and a minor in world history. She plans to continue her piano studies to earn a master’s degree in piano pedagogy.
