Morningside College students elect 2016-17 student government officers
Students at Morningside College have elected Alec DeVries of Sioux City as student government president for the 2016-17 academic year.

Students at Morningside College have elected Alec DeVries of Sioux City as student government president for the 2016-17 academic year.
DeVries, a junior majoring in history with minors in U.S. politics and business, also will serve as student representative and a voting member on the Morningside College Board of Directors. During the 2015-2016 academic year, he served as treasurer for student government.
DeVries is a 2013 graduate of Bishop Heelan High School.
Other Morningside student government officers elected include Jordan Heim of Madison, S.D., vice president; Madison Harpenau of Omaha, Neb., treasurer; Sabrina Guerra of Red Oak, Iowa, secretary; Jadyn Mohr of Holstein, Iowa, student advocate; and Rachel Potter of Laurens, Iowa; director of communications.
