Morningside College summer performance series begins with Independence Day salute
Morningside College begins the 2018 season of its Betty Ling Tsang Summer Performance Series with an all-American Independence Day salute performed by the Sioux City Municipal Band at 8 p.m. June 30 in the Buhler Outdoor Performance Center, 3625 Garretson Ave., on the college’s campus.
Morningside College begins the 2018 season of its Betty Ling Tsang Summer Performance Series with an all-American Independence Day salute performed by the Sioux City Municipal Band at 8 p.m. June 30 in the Buhler Outdoor Performance Center, 3625 Garretson Ave., on the college’s campus.
The Sioux City Municipal Band, under the direction of Michael Pritchard, will perform a program of rousing marches and toe-tapping tunes in honor of America’s Independence Day celebration. The traditional fireworks display will provide a stunning climax to the concert. The event is free and open to the public.
In case of rain, the concert moves to Eppley Auditorium on the Morningside campus.
Other performances scheduled for the summer series include Drum Corps International Morningside on July 10; the children’s musical “Ready…Set…Go!” on July 13 and 14; and the Catalyst Collective Showcase on July 26.
