College to present Christmas at Morningside concert
Morningside College will present its 21st annual Christmas at Morningside concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, in Eppley Auditorium on the Morningside campus. The concert is free and open to the public.
Morningside College will present its 21st annual Christmas at Morningside concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, in Eppley Auditorium, 3625 Garretson Ave., on the Morningside campus. The concert is free and open to the public. Doors to Eppley Auditorium open at 6:30 p.m.
This year’s concert, “A Father’s Love, A Perfect Rose,” will be a celebration of the miracle of Jesus’ birth.
The concert will feature performances by several Morningside College choral and instrumental ensembles and the Siouxland Master Chorale.
Tim Watson, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities, conducts the Siouxland Master Chorale, Morningside College Choir, the Singing Men of Morningside, and the Choral Union along with Shirley Luebke, artist faculty member. Luebke also directs Bel Canto Women’s Chorus. The Symphonic Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Shane Macklin, assistant professor of music and director of bands. The Morningside College Brass Ensemble is under the direction of Tony Hutchins, assistant professor of music and director of instrumental jazz.
